March 13th – 19th, Randomness

This week has been a bit random, a bit going on and lots of stress….. I don’t really know what the stress was about but I am over it and feel just great now. I felt like I wasted a bit of time just thinking about something to do so a lot of sitting around doing nothing go done. It was time for some Spring cleaning, St. Patricks day, vacation planning, and maybe a hair cut. The cleaning didn’t last long and I still have some more camping gear to organize, and that green beer wasn’t as awesome as I hoped. Maybe cause I was the only one drinking it. I have been letting my hair grow out and it was the longest it has been in many years, even gotee was getting super long. I finally chopped it all off! I think I went a little shorter then I really wanted, but it will be back! I don’t know if I will go that long again though. And what better way to finish off a random week with some spending!! I finally got my bonus, I didn’t really know what I wanted to do with it but we did go shopping….. That sounds horrible for a guy to say, but at least it was all on stuff for being outside and next weekends vaction!

Had to move all the fishing gear, at least part of it is organized.

Green Beer, thats what make St. Patties day grand!

Monkey being lazy this week, but I think he was sick after all the throwup we had to clean.

What stupid hairdos do to me.

Lost a bit of hair, by choice at least.

Hit the Columbia Outlet and spent a bit of $$

Mountain of laundry

March 6th – 12th, Blocks

With Spring right around the corner and the Fever for it very high in us we had to get outside. We went for a drive around the airport at Utah Lake. I was testing out some clamp mounts for my GO PRO camera for a trip we are doing later in May. As we were driving around the Lake we came to a huge road block. Ice that has melted off the lake the wind had blown to the side were we were and piled up ice blocks in the road so we couldn’t continue around the airport. I was looking for these stacks just a couple of weeks ago by the dock. It was pretty sight to see and made me want to load some up in the truck, but really what would I have done with them. They will soon be gone with the warm weather are having, I just can’t wait!

February 27th – March 5th, Roadkill

We have all seen it, some sort of dead animal on the side of the road. I don’t know about you but I always feel bad about the poor animal thats life ended by some driver. However once I got into photography years ago I am always hoping to find something not letting that roadkill go to waste. Of course I hope it is and Eagle or some wild beast dinning on the carcass. Over the years I have been lucky enought to get some shots of Wolves, Coyotes, and many Eagles getting their part. This week while heading out to go fishing I spotted this Gold Eagle having a snack. I pulled of the side of the road and kept the truck running, it isn’t queit either, and the bird stayed put. I have noticed over the years when I try to sneak up on and animal that if I have the radio up or something like that then they hang around longer. Must be trying to figure out what that noise is. If I try and be quiet then they leave faster. Well after about 50 shots this one finally had enough and headed up the hill. At least I got myself a little wildlife fix I been craving.
